Learn More About Northpoint!
Northpoint Homeschool Classes, founded in 2005, exists to provide a holistic, Christ-centered program for homeschool families. As a private program that does not accept state funding, Northpoint remains free to teach traditional academics, partner with parents through transparent communication and stand firm to the Biblical principles on which we were founded. Our professional teachers provide in person instruction to students during the in class days and provide assignments for them to complete on the at home days each week.
CLASSES: Families with students in Pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade can choose between our 2 day model on Tuesdays and Thursdays or our 3 day model on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. All 7th-12th grade students attend classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays each week. Regardless of the schedule you choose, families are paying for a full, five day academic model when enrolling at Northpoint.
CHOICES: All students have choices for electives to supplement their core classes and provide a well rounded academic experience. The Choice Elective Day on Mondays offers opportunities for families to enjoy dozens of electives, enrichment classes, and workshops. Students in 7th through 12th grade can meet at the Hub to get homework done, hang out with friends, get homework help and take additional electives. Students in Pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade can either attend enrichment opportunities with their family or add an additional drop off day filled with electives and time with a teacher.
CONNECTIONS: Connections are made through a strong community of like-minded believers who connect through community activities, field trips, mission trips, camps, retreats and more.
Join the Northpoint family to experience a life-changing partnership that will develop your child academically, spiritually and emotionally.
After 17 years renting space in various churches throughout the Indianapolis and surrounding areas, Northpoint is excited to announce that we are moving to a new, permanent facility! Hope Church is located just south of 106th and Keystone in southern Hamilton County. The church building sits on a beautiful, 8-acre lot with a playground for recess and easy access from the highway!
Northpoint is entering into a long-term lease agreement with Hope Church and will have access to the facility throughout the week for classes, events and more! We will continue our 2 day model for Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade students on Tuesdays and Thursdays and will be adding an additional section of Pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade classes that will meet 3 full days each week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. We will also be utilizing the facility for a Choice Elective Day on Mondays that students of all ages can enjoy!
Students at Northpoint can choose from over 100 different class options that provide students with everything they need from Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade. Families with Pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade students can choose between our 2 day model that meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays or our 3 day model that meets on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. All 7th-12th grade students attend classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Every student has the option to participate in our Choice Elective Day on Mondays.
Northpoint is a non-accredited resource for homeschool families. Parents choose their student's classes based on state guidelines and are responsible for keeping and maintaining their student's grades and transcripts. Our Director of Academics holds a transcript workshop meeting each year and is available to assist parents as needed with the homeschooling journey!
The teachers and staff at Northpoint desire to invest in students in a highly individualized, intentional manner. We recognize that every student was created by God with a unique set of gifts and talents that drive what they want to do as they grow and mature. Rather than mainstream all students into the same educational track, Northpoint offers an entire day of additional electives, workshops and career-focused intensives that will allow students to have almost unlimited choices for extracurricular activities and electives taught by Christian teachers in a Christian environment.
Education is important and figuring out what you want to do when you grow up is a process everyone must go through. However, Northpoint takes education a step further by offering a strong, Christian community for our families. Students will be encouraged to make new friends, grow in their relationship with the Lord and create life-long memories through our chapels, field trips, events, mission trips, sports program, camps and retreats. We believe that it is the God-given responsibility of parents to be in control of their child's education and spiritual life, but we also know that having a strong community of believers is integral to a student's success.
